About our Club

Mission and Vision

Croygas Youth Pan Disability teams (previously known as Croygas Pirates) was set up in 2014 with the goal of bringing football (and all the great things it can bring to people) to those who have not been able to find the right home in mainstream clubs.

We have chosen to work with children, with a wide range of impairments, which has resulted in what we feel is an amazing learning experience for our children.

We run 2 PAN disability football teams for boys and girls of all abilities who are aged between 6–16yrs with a wide range of disabilities, including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Asperger’s Syndrome, Acute Anxiety, Asthma, Epilepsy, and Williams Syndrome to name but a few. During our time we have won 3 Respect Awards in the Surrey Football for all League and a Surrey FA Respect Award ‘We only do positive’.

History

Established in 2014 by Robert Watson, the club has gone from strength to strength and is now an integral part of the Croygas Football Club community.

We still have some children with us from day 1 which is testament to both the children and our amazing coaches.

Although we are always sad to see them leave, we are also pleased to have developed some of our children to the point where they move onto bigger clubs (some even playing for England Disability team) and even the mainstream club. This again is a true sign of what is means to be at our club – it is all about their development and fun.

During this time, in addition to the coaching sessions and monthly tournaments held with other likeminded clubs in the London area (including Fulham, Ewell etc.), we hold:

- Summer events. Social events for the children. Social events for the parents. Fund raising evenings.

- We have also had the pleasure of having guest coaches along from the F.A, Chelsea Football Club, Crystal Palace Football Club and other amazing contacts due to the hard work of our coaches and management.

- We strive to build a culture of learning, inclusion, caring, developing and most importantly FUN for our teams.

Target Audience

We work with all children between the ages of 6 and 18 within our Under 12 and Under 18 teams.

Since inception we have worked with children of all disabilities and this goal will never change with the club and its coaches.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Paul Chadwick

My wife and I decided to take Harry to a trial for the Pirates after feeling he was struggling within the set up he was part of , from the minute we arrived we were treated like one of the regulars , the tlc and attention to detail to every players Individual needs is what sets out the coaching staff from other clubs.

Harry has now played in two tournaments and it's great to see him enjoying himself and playing with a huge smile on his face, he has found his form again and that is due to the support he receives.

We would like to say it has been the best decision we made for Teddie to join the Pirates.  It has all been amazing, from coaches to helpers and players. Teddie struggles with social communication & interaction due to his autism. Since day one 5 years ago Teddie has grown in confidence learnt new skills & and made friends. He really enjoys his time every Saturday. Although tournaments are sometimes difficult for Teddie there is no pressure. All the coaches care so much and seem to know our children individually. This means so much to us to have a club that is so inclusive and that everyone really puts themselves out every week to put a smile on our children's faces. We can't recommend Croygas Pirates enough.
